​After years in the various investigative squads in the largest municipal police service in Canada, including Homicide and the Fraud & Forgery Squad, he was appointed to Internal Affairs where he finished his policing career.

After investigating police officers in a very high profile case attracting national media attention, where James was the lead affiant, he was persuaded to try his hand at law.

James brings a wealth of experience as a former designated and qualified Breathalyzer Technician, an investigator, a police supervisor and has degrees from 3 Universities.

James completed a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, a Jurist Doctor from the University of Ottawa and his Master of Laws from prestigious Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto.

I had the occasion of representing a couple of people who were facing mandatory minimum sentences which if convicted would have resulted in the loss of their jobs and in one case a home. I was able to score acquittals in those cases.
